So far, the glimpse is limited to four-cylinder applications, though players can tweak nearly every aspect of the four-pot's design.
Block, crank and head material are all up for grabs as are intake, exhaust and fuel design and cam profile. The demo sports five tutorial missions and nine scenarios in which the player designs vastly different 4-cylinder engines.
Players will be challenged to build anything from a howling beast of a race car motor to an eastern european taxi engine to run on the worst fuel known to man.
